As any avid enthusiast of high-performance powerboats surely knows, the outboard motor catamaran market segment continues to thrive. Sales, despite delivery delays imposed by the supply chain, are still booming and show no signs of slowing down. So while you might say Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats is a little late to the party with its new SC 37 cat powered by twin Mercury Racing 450R outboards, that party is still going strong.

Plus, and this is a really big deal for Bristol, RI, custom builder, Outerlimits customers are some of the most brand loyal in the world of speedboating. So while Outerlimits had only completed two 37-footers to date, the company has already ordered 11 with deposits. This is
a good start for a new model that, until its first appearance at the Florida Powerboat Club Key West Poker Run last November, had remained virtually invisible.
Outerlimits’ first SC 37 was completed in early August 2021. Project consultant Steve Curtis, multiple offshore world champion and renowned marine industry veteran, steered the boat with Outerlimits’ National Sales Manager , Dan Kleitz, at 125 mph over Rhode Island’s Narragansett Bay. day after it was done. Both were impressed with his first test session.
