Edibles, the Kochi-based personalized diet meal provider startup, has offered to expand its services to other parties.

The startup that pioneered the idea of ​​providing healthy calorie-counted meals in the city plans to start operations in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode. He identified his services as the need of the hour following the rise in lifestyle-related illnesses.

“We are considering a franchise model for expansion. There are also plans to expand to other parts of the country after consolidating the business in these cities,” said co-founders Joji Babu Maliakkal and Tom Tharakan. of the company.

Edibles made more than 15,000 meal orders during a pandemic-induced lockdown over the past year in Kochi. It started operations in February 2020 providing working lunch services to KPMG Infopark. The disruption to business during the lockdown prompted the company to offer personalized meals. Edibles also had the distinction of serving personalized meals to celebrities, they said.

Describing customization as the company’s USP, company officials said the same was achieved through a unique blend of taste and health. “Every meal is an opportunity to nourish the body” is our company motto. Edibles currently offers low carb, high protein, Keto, balanced and disease management diets to discerning customers. The company charges ₹250-300 per meal.

The different diets offered by Edibles include Low Carb Diet, High Protein Diet: Keto Diet: Balanced Diet: Disease Management Diet.

According to officials, the nutritionist assigned to each client would suggest a diet after conducting a thorough assessment of the client’s lifestyle and personal habits. The diet plan was communicated to the culinary team, and they delivered the tailored meals to each customer.

“We deliver four meals a day, ensuring meals are fresh and delivered to a convenient location for the customer.” The personal nutritionist acting as a mentor to the client performs regular monitoring to map progress and adjust and adapt the diet accordingly,” the officials said.
